As of September 4th, 2009 the Gold Coast City Council has purchased the property formerly owned by M&M Quarries. No waste can now be sent to landfill but recycling will still continue. The price list below lists what can and cannot be accepted.
The following wastes can be accepted at this Dry Inert Waste facility;
Concrete, Green Waste, Mixed Builders Wastes, Industrial & Commercial Waste, Demolition Materials, Contaminated Soils below EPA thresholds & Shredded Tyres.
Vigorous inspection takes place to ensure compliance and any loads suspected of not complying will be rejected and/or tested. Breach notices are issued and repeat offenders will have the details passed onto the EPA.
The following wastes are not accepted at this facility;
Asbestos, Liquid Wastes, Regulated Wastes (poisons, chemicals, whole tyres. (Call for full details)
